FAQ
-
- my legs are cramping? The fin is designed for the perfect execution of the tempo, therefore it increases the stretching of the ankle in the sole direction. For beginners, this can cause leg or foot cramps. In such a case, take off your fins, carefully stretch your feet and toes into a ticking position with your hands, then shake them off and swim 100-200 meters without fins in breaststroke, or perhaps do a few angles at the bottom of the pool while diving under the water. Gradually get your feet used to the fin, take it off every 400 meters and include relaxing swims without fins.
-
- the fin breaks my leg?The fin can break the leg. This can be completely eliminated by using neoprene socks or traditional secret socks. Professional athletes do not use this, because there the time result is the primary consideration. The direct connection between the fin and the leg is important. Violinists don't play with gloves either, of course. That's why professionals tape their broken feet with Leukoplast before going into the water, so it stays on even during a 2-3 hour training session and protects their feet from further breaking. During everyday use, the foot and the fin adapt to each other and become extremely comfortable. It doesn't break, it doesn't press. After a longer absence of several weeks, the habituation must be started all over again.

- the fin got torn?No problem!! :) Since it is made entirely of rubber -unlike its non-repairable silicone counterparts available in the store-, it is easy and quick to repair, even if you have a flat tire. Do-it-yourselfers can easily repair it at home with patches cut from the inner tire of a car or bicycle. Of course, our company will carry out the professional repair if you send back the damaged product. We use top-quality SC 2000 glue for the repair. You can have the repair done at any helpful tire repair shop. Professional repair does not affect the fin's performance or use value. With daily use, its lifespan can be extended up to decades.

- the water flows into the snorkel?Of course it flows in because it has a hole :) This is a great sports tool because of its simplicity. It was designed so that air can flow through it as easily as possible. That's why it doesn't have a chute or valve, because that reduces sports performance to a great extent. It is an extremely easy-to-use tool once you have mastered the special breathing technique. When the tube fills with water, place your tongue against the end and blow the water out through the tube with a forceful spit-blowing motion. We can also organize a distance gargoyle competition. The kids really enjoy it. Using the device greatly improves the functioning of the respiratory muscles. A professional scuba diver who competes with a large female dolphin blows out the water with each breath, as water enters the tube at every pace during the dolphin's movement. Of course, you don't need to pay special attention to this when using it at the skill level - everything goes by itself. Even 6-year-old children learn how to use it in a matter of weeks.
-
- the water is running into my nose?Taking air underwater is unusual for the first time, because we are not fish. Therefore, when our face is in the water, it happens that initially someone wants to take air through their nose and mouth at the same time. Air is taken in through the mouth, through the pipe. If someone also wants to take air through the nose, the result will be nasal washing. So, inhaling air through the mouth, exhaling through the nose and mouth at the same time. You can use a nose clip or a speed diving mask that includes the nose, so the problem is solved in one fell swoop. However, it is worth learning the correct breathing technique with an open nose, because in terms of sports performance, breathing is more effective if you can blow out the air through your nose, even if you stretch it for a long time, over several paces.
-
Which difficulty level should I choose?Grade I is recommended for people with very stiff ankle joints or for frequent leg and plantar cramps. However, the real performance and development effect is achieved by fin II. we can use it with its degree. Gradually get your feet used to the fin so you can enjoy swimming at the highest possible speed.
-
How much shall I swim in one go with my fins on?In the beginning, after 400-600 meters it is worth taking off and swimming a relaxing length without fins. After gradually getting used to it, you can swim up to 10 kilometers in one go. This is their daily routine dose for professional competitors.
-
Can I swim breaststroke with it?The regular leg pace of breaststroke is best performed without fins. On the other hand, we can perform wonderful exercises with fins using a dolphin or fast leg pace, when the breath takes place at breaststroke arm pace.
-
How shall I dive with the fins on?The same way as without fins, however, you should do the traditional (not the track) start, when both feet are in line and your toes are approximately 2-3 cm off the starting block.
-
How shall I tumbleturn with the fins on?The tumbleturn should be done exactly the same way as without fins. It is advisable, however, to touch the wall with full feet and after push off to do 4-5 fly kicks underwater. This increases efficiency extensively and increases the dynamic anaerob capacity by large.
-
Why are the fins so short? The fins have an optimal length. If it is too long, it will not follow the movement of the foot. We kick down, the long fin bends, our foot is already down, when the end of the fin is still up, by the time it starts going down, we already pull our foot up. As a result, the result will be an unscheduled pace with a fin that bends back and forth, and in addition, the disorganized leg paces will be incompatible with the arm pace of the different types of swimming. If the fin is too short, does not function as a fin, does not propel you forward, there is no point in wearing it. The shape, length and flexibility of the moray fin are the result of extremely long development work. The testing and development took place in the Formula 1 of water sports, with the involvement of world-class competitors.
-
How should I store it properly? The fin and the pipe should also be stored in such a way that the water drips from them and can dry, otherwise they can get moldy. It is best to store the fin in a well-ventilated mesh bag, if you put it in a nylon bag, pack it completely dry. Protect from sunlight! Strong sunlight is not good for objects made of rubber, including fins. For example, it is not recommended to leave it on the hat rack of a hot car in the summer.
-
How shall I dive with the snorkel on?The hand position plays an extremely important role by diving. During the jump, the swimmer already clasps his arms above his head in the air, so that the upper part of the pipe is stable between the two forearms, as if it were held in a vise. With the right hand position, you can perform a perfect head jump even with the pipe without a rubber strap.
-
How shall I tumbleturn with the snorkel on?Do your tumbleturn as normal. After pushing off and having done the underwater dolphin kicks, make sure that you only blow out the water from your snorkel, when you feel that you are already on the surface of the water.
